Paladin Software Launches with Technology for MCNs and Next-Generation Media Companies

After 4+ Years of Product Development and Experience Powering 25 Top Multi-Channel Networks, Technology Team Behind Bent Pixels Launches Independent Company

LOS ANGELES — April 19, 2016 – Paladin Software launched today with a suite of productivity solutions for multi-channel networks (MCNs) and next-generation media companies. An independent spin-off from leading MCN Bent Pixels, Paladin’s technology currently serves more than 25 of the largest digital video networks, including AwesomenessTV, Studio71, DEFY Media (Smosh Games Alliance), 2btube, and Frederator Networks. Paladin’s clients represent more than 200,000 content creators, generating a collective 15 billion monthly views.

The decision to spin off Paladin as a completely separate entity allows the new company to focus exclusively on technology development and serving MCN clients globally, explained Bent Pixels Founder and CEO Mike Pusateri. “When we started developing software in-house to make the administration of our MCN easier, we had no idea that it would become the industry standard and that creating an independent technology company would be the next step,” said Pusateri. “We’re enormously proud of the people and products that have become Paladin Software.”

Paladin Software will be led by three former Bent Pixels executives as co-founders: CEO James Creech, CTO Ole Morten Amundsen, and Head of Product Thomas Kramer. “This move creates clear focus and more opportunity for both businesses,” said Paladin CEO James Creech. “At the end of the day, our goal is to help media companies save time and scale their networks, allowing them to focus on producing great content.”

Paladin’s technology helps media companies streamline processes, increase efficiency, and grow revenue through two core product suites:

  • The Network Management Suite, an administration hub for YouTube networks that streamlines creator onboarding, network intelligence, financial management, and payments
  • The Rights Management Suite, a complement to YouTube’s Content ID system that combats piracy and increases monetization through descriptive search claiming

In addition to these battle-tested products, today Paladin unveiled a new tool for creator identification: the Talent Locator.
