Hydraulic and Chuck Switch Trip Points

WinOCPT expects the A/D output for the hydraulic and chuck switches to fall into specific ranges. Some users have reversed wiring on their chuck switches which prevents WinOCPT from collecting data. Here are the trip points and polarities for both switches:

Sensor Output Action
Chuck Switch less than 600 engaged
Chuck Switch greater than 600 disengaged
Hydraulic Switch less than 0 no flow
Hydraulic Switch greater than 0 flow

Also, when the String Pot wire is pulled out of the box, the A/D reading should increase.

  BLH LCP-10 Setup:

WinOCPT can automatically read any BLH LCP-10 (rev. 2.2) that has been modified for full-duplex RS-232 communications. Setup must be correct, however, so read the manual and perform the following actions:

The first time you execute Calibrate_"Geological Settings" set Edit_Options to match the serial port connected to the weight processor. If you cannot get the LCP-10 to function properly (or do not have a modified unit) you can set the manual weight mode in the Options dialog.
