WinOCPT Registry Options

Before you edit your Registry settings, be sure to back up the WinOCPT registry key by highlighting the WinOCPT key name and clicking the 'Export Registry File' menu item in the Registry menu. If you are creating a new key you must type the key's name exactly as shown with the proper capitalization and spacing.

HINT: The full path of the WinOCPT registry key is HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Paladin Software\WinOCPT.

Application Exit Prompt   Controls the "Do you want to exit WinOCPT?" prompt. Create this DWORD key with a value of 0 to disable this prompt. Delete this key (or set its value to 1) to enable prompting again.

System Sensors   This DWORD controls the inclusion of the hydraulic switch and chuck switch in the geological sensors edit dialog. Typically, you will run with this setting disabled (0). Create this key with a value of 1 to edit the system sensor switch settings.

Line Width Divisor   The plot line width is determined by dividing the number of logical units per inch (roughly equivalent to the number of dots per inch for the display medium) by this DWORD value. A good starting point for this number is decimal 100 (the default), which makes lines approximately 3 dots wide on a 300 dpi printer.

Print Bitmap   This DWORD controls logo bitmap printing on the documentation pages. Set to 0 to prevent logo printing or 1 to enable logo printing.

User Printout Bitmap   Create this key with a string value that identifies the fully qualified pathname of your replacement logo bitmap for documentation printouts. The actual bitmap must use 256 colors and be a maximum of 152 pixels wide. Generally, square bitmaps look best, but you can have a tall narrow bitmap if you want. Remember, larger bitmaps take longer to print. If your bitmap is taller than 304 pixels, you are on your own.

Print Plot Background   Create this DWORD key with a value of 0 to prevent WinOCPT from printing a background inside B&W plots. Delete this key (or set it to 1) to enable plot background coloring. This key does not affect color printing.

UserSpectrumColor0   If this DWORD key exists it will dictate the color of the first spectrum line in spectral plots. There are actually eight of these keys allowed - up to UserSpectrumColor7. The values of these keys is a hexadecimal number containing the concatenated color values: 0xBBGGRR. For example, pure red is 0x0000FF, pure green is 0x00FF00 and pure blue is 0xFF0000. It is up to you to create eight colors that work well together and can print successfully.

Small Note Font Divisor   This DWORD key controls the small note font size. The default value of 10 represents a 1/10" font size. Increasing this value reduces the font size.

Large Note Font Divisor   This DWORD key controls the large note font size. The default value of 8 represents a 1/8" font size. Decreasing this value increases the font size.
