Class++TM Installation Instructions

IMPORTANT: Retain your digital license certificate! You will need it for FREE upgrades. Your certificate is valid for all 1.x releases! You can upgrade to the latest release by uninstalling your old version and downloading a new version.

  Internet Downloads
  1. Copy or save the license.txt file you received as an E-mail attachment to a convenient location on your hard drive. Later, you will need to identify the location of this file to register Class++.
  2. Monolithic installation program: Execute ClassPP.exe and click the ‘Setup’ button. Follow the installation prompts until Setup is complete. Disk Images: Build floppy disks by executing the self-extracting disk image files (you will need a blank, formatted floppy disk for each image) or extract the images to subdirectories on your hard drive (the directories must be named Disk1, Disk2, etc. and reside together within the same directory). Execute Setup.exe on the Disk1 floppy (or from the Disk1 subdirectory) and follow the installation prompts until Setup is complete.
  3. Launch Class++ and enter your user information (in the proper case) exactly as shown in the E-mail you received. For example, you will see a section containing:

    User Name: Your Name
    Company: Your Company
    E-mail Address: Your E-mail Address

  4. Finally, identify the location of your license file by typing the path (e.g., c:\license.txt) or clicking the ‘…’ button to browse your computer. Click the 'Register' button to complete installation.

  Original Floppy Disks
  1. Put Disk 1 into your floppy drive. Use Explorer, WordPad or NotePad to open the readme.txt file. This file contains these setup instructions and your user registration information. Keep this file open for reference after running Setup.
  2. Use the Run command or Explorer to execute Setup.exe on Disk 1 and follow the installation prompts. Leave the final installation disk in the drive so that the registration engine can read your digital certificate (license.txt).
  3. Launch Class++ and enter your user information (in the proper case) exactly as shown in the readme.txt file you opened in step one. For example, you will see a section containing:

    User Name: Your Name
    Company: Your Company
    E-mail Address: Your E-mail Address

  4. Identify the location of your license file (e.g., enter 'a:\license.txt' without the quotes to point at license.txt on the final installation disk) and click on 'Register' to complete installation.
HINT: You may want to copy license.txt to your hard drive to make it easier to install free upgrades later. A good place to put this file is the installation directory where the Class++ program files are located.
